Fuel pump on other F-250 Super Duty years
Report counts are for each model year on its own, so a newer car has had less time to collect them. Model years with too few reports of it for a sheet: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022.
What this problem usually is
A lot of fuel pump complaints are tied to a recall. Owners describe a car that stalled or wouldn't start, sometimes at highway speed, and many mention that a recall covers it and the part isn't available yet. Others paid for the pump themselves before a recall existed, or on a car the recall didn't include.
What got replaced
Owners who name the part that was replaced mention the fuel pump (34 reports) and the high-pressure pump (7 reports).
Recalls and investigations
4 recalls on the fuel and propulsion cover the 2020 model year. A recall on the same system isn't always the same failure, so read the defect text.
Biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drivetrain roller components, which could lead to failure of the high pressure fuel pump.

A washer within the vehicle's transmission can disintegrate, causing metallic debris to become lodged in the 'Park' mechanism.
The transmission torque converter damper plate was not tempered, resulting in a brittle damper plate that may fracture and cause the engine to stall or require increased brake pedal effort in order to stop the vehicle.

Is this a known problem?
The manufacturer has sent NHTSA 1 service bulletin or notice for the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty that deal with this problem. Newest first.
Federal rules make a manufacturer send NHTSA a copy of any notice about a defect that goes to more than one dealer or owner. Most of these are service bulletins, the repair instructions manufacturers send to dealers. NHTSA generally leaves safety recall bulletins out of this file, and recalls are listed separately.
Some 2020-2021 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine built on or before 10-Feb-2021 may exhibit a thump/whine/knock noise from the fuel tank at idle or during key on, engine off (KOEO).

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 0 of 34 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation. How reports land on this sheet.
