What owners wrote

“Fuel Pump Module Failure at 27k miles, experienced total loss of power while driving. GM issued a recall for this part in other 2021 Tahoes, but said my vehicle is not included in the recall. Researching online this seems to be a large problem with this model year, yet they did not recall all vehicles. Clearly mine was effected.”

Filed Apr 2, 2025 · 27,000 miles

“The vehicle stalled without warning, while driving. After taking it to the dealership they said it’s the Fuel Pump Power Control Module. After further research I see this has been under recall, however, my vin doesn’t show a recall for this.”

Filed Nov 13, 2023

“Vehicle is sputtering and jerking while driving When slowing to a stop vehicles engine will shut off. I do know that the 2021 Tahoe has recalls on the fuel pump issues but not sure why my vin number isn’t covered under this recall. This is a 2 year old vehicle and already has recalls on this year model on its fuel pump. At this point it is barely driveable and is a danger for myself and my family to drive.”

Filed Oct 25, 2023

“I was driving down the highway and my car simply stopped moving, pressed on the gas and nothing. Had it towed and the dealership said it was the fuel pump power control module which there was a recall on but I never received it. I was in a very dangerous situation and I am not happy.”

Should you keep driving it?

This page can't tell you that. 0 of 74 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
