What owners wrote

“Starting around 38k miles the steering will get stuck in the middle position causing me to use extra force to free the wheel. This causes an over compensation and swerving. It’s especially worse at higher speeds than 40 mph. I feel this could cause an accident. It happens with lane keep assist on or off. I have not seen any fault lights on the dash and have not taken to a dealer or mechanic yet, but I will soon.”

Filed Dec 8, 2022 · 38,000 miles

“Cruise control shuts off while on interstate without any warning. Have taken to dealer and no codes and unable to reproduce. Happens every commute on interstate. Have to stop car turn of ignition and then works again. No warning lamps, messages. Honda aware of situation and not offering fix. Car has less then 1500miles”

Filed Mar 9, 2022 · 1,500 miles

“Since day one of purchasing the vehicle which now has 6000 miles on it the cruise control intermittently drop out and you cannot reengage it unless you pull over turn off the car and restart the car”

Filed Mar 4, 2022 · 6,000 miles

“While driving on a freeway, the cruise control will beep and then automatically and abruptly turn off and it will not turn back on. To turn it back on I have to pull the car over and, sometimes, turn it off and turn it back on to get the cruise control working again. This has happened multiple times and the frequency is about 2 times a week.”

Should you keep driving it?

This page can't tell you that. 4 of 88 reports involved a crash and 3 people were hurt. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.

File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
