What owners wrote

“Passenger headrest airbag deployed without collision when vehicle was parked while occupants were not in vehicle. Increased in safety hazard as airbag deployed prematurely.”

Filed Mar 3, 2023

“The active head restrains (AHR) deployed without vehicle being involved in collision. This could have caused injury and even death if anyone was operating the vehicle while it deployed. No warning lamps are active, but the system is clearly deployed.”

Should you keep driving it?

This page can't tell you that. 12 of 68 reports involved a crash and 8 people were hurt. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.

File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
