They have a 25 year safety recall the car is a 2014 but it was built in 2013 but sold as a 2014 so theyâre wiggling out of the recall fix I donât even have 100,000 miles on the car”

“i was told by BMW that my vehicle doesn't qualify for RECALL 21V-586. however my high pressure fuel pump failed at about 130,000 miles. i am trying to be reimbursed for my cost of parts under the TREAD ACT but BMW says my vin wasn't included by NHTSA. the recall seems to cover all BMW diesels from 2014 to 2018. please help. “In July 2021 I was driving on a residential street when my vehicle experienced loss of power. The vehicle shutdown and stopped in the middle of the road. Mechanic found metal particles in fuel system that may have been cause by fuel pump failure. It was reported to insurance company. The fuel system was replaced but vehicle continues to have issues with leaks etc.”
